Live Wedding Painting of Jay and Emily, Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains
Earlier this year I painted a live wedding painting for Jay and Emily for their wonderful wedding at the Fairmont Resort Blue Mountains.
It started out as a a big rainy day, massive thounder clouds over head and pouring rain, thankfully tho by the time I had set up and the guest had started to arrive, the sky began to clear.
Walking around the venues grounds, there were so many incredible locations that could possibly make for a great wedding painting.
Talking to the venue manager she gave myself and the photographer some good ideas regarding great vantage spots for the beautiful blue mountain mountain ranges.
Going to those spots first they just weren’t working properly. So talking with Emily she let me know they had a number of beautiful lily ponds on the grounds, and suggested we have a look at those.
Now normally I arrive at a wedding early to be able to walk the grounds and scout out the perfect locations that would work for the composition of the painting, however since it was thunder storming and heavy rain until the bride arrived, I hadn’t yet had the chance to spot their lily ponds.
We made our way over there and found the most beautiful willow trees and pond, absolutely picture perfect.
Posing the couple Emily wanted to make sure we could see her almost due pregnant belly bump.
Finding that perfect angle made for the painting you see above.
The painting commenced in the reception area and taken to a near completeion on the night.
Everyone had the most wonderful time and there was so much love and care from every single guest present.
Can not thank them enough for having me on their wonderful day!
